The contact page has some problems that should be addressed:

I have failed to update the canary reliably (1009008a25, 7dc4cbd79c).
Signing the contact page may(?) be useful but it's too cumbersome and difficult to verify.

Even though both of those "features" have been removed for now (e2cbb96e8c), there are some open questions that should be addressed:

Should the canary return back? If so, how would it be maintained and served?
Should the contact page be signed? If so, how could it be easily verified by users?

An alternative to this is to sign commits. Signing commits can assure people that the content in the repo is legit.
